When a veteran asks Claude or ChatGPT "find me a CVSO in my county," the AI either hallucinates, sends them to a generic VA.gov page, or — if we're lucky — finds a third-party directory that's 18 months out of date. We built open data infrastructure so AI assistants can answer from a public, citable directory.

Wounded Warriors was founded in 2021 by Dillon Parkes — a U.S. Navy veteran and full-stack developer who built the 144,900+-record directory, federal data integrations, and AI agent infrastructure end-to-end. The reason we're early to the MCP server is that we operate as a tech company that happens to be a charity, instead of a charity that happens to have a website.
The MCP protocol was published by Anthropic in late 2024. We launched our server in early 2026. We believe Wounded Warriors is positioned at an inflection point where AI assistants need verified veteran-aid data and few organizations have supplied it. This window narrows as Big Tech and large nonprofits catch up — typically 18-36 months. We need philanthropic capital now to scale the lead.
Funds 200+ Care Packages for hospitalized veterans. Or goes toward Emergency Aid (applications currently paused; gifts fund the next cycle), which helps veteran families avoid eviction.
Underwrites a named program for the year. Sponsors hormone replacement therapy (HRT) support for a full cohort of veterans through partner clinics.
